Celery Street Giveaway

This giveaway has ended. Thanks to all that entered!

Are you still looking for gifts for the person who has everything? You've got to check out Celery Street! They have awesome eco-friendly, recycled, reused, and refurbished gifts, housewares, and other practical items for everyone. Celery Street also has handcrafted jewelry, candles, bath products, apparel, pet gear, home decor, rugs, bags, purses, totes and so much more! They have a eco gifts section where you can choose gift for her, gifts for him, for the kids and for the pets. I love when shopping is made easy!

Celery Street sent me the mother of all tote bags- the Night Bird Overnight Bag.We don't travel often, but the bag could fit enough stuff to get us through a weekend. It's HUGE! Ella went with me to the townhouse this week to do some work. I thought I'd pack up the Overnight Bag with her toys so she'd have something to do and wouldn't try to help us. I was able to fit a bag of blocks, a box of Sprig Toys, her Monsters Play All Day 3 tower box, crayons, 2 art pads with some loose paper, some spare clothes, VHS tapes and other little things- and still had room! The Night Bird Overnight Bag is 27.5” x 13.75" The Bag zips shut, so you don't have to worry about anything spilling out. It is made with 90% recycled materials of HDPE bottles and grain sacks that are ground up and melted into rolls of recycled plastic.

I love how large the bag is! It'd be great to pack toys in when dropping your child off at a friend's house or with the grandparents. Sorry, I always think about Ella before myself. The bag is designed for women and its elegant black design with a bird singing is gorgeous. I know I'll be using it for my next road trip- whenever that might be! It is a very durable bag and would even be great to take to the market, shopping, or to the pool. The Overnight Bag is very light weight, so what you add to the bag will be the weight you are carrying. You can get the
Night Bird Overnight Bag for only $17.99!! That's an awesome deal!

Celery Street also has a variety of Tote bags including shopping bags, shoulder bags, bucket bags, courier totes and more! They range from $9-$56, though most are under $20.

Oompa Toys Giveaway

This giveaway has ended! Thanks to all that entered!!
When Ella was an infant I was against all copyrighted characters. I didn't want Elmo and Dora taking over my house. I especially despised Dora after watching a few episodes at a friend's house a couple years earlier. I won't get into my faults about buying into the Princess and Tinker Bell phenomenon... but I have learned and will resist the urge! Ella still begs to go to the "Princess store" and we go, but don't come home with anything. Which she normally doesn't mind. But this Christmas, I want things that will inspire her imagination without all of the bells and whistles. That's what I love about this next company- Oompa. They believe in just that.

You won't find battery operated, cartooned themed, or toxic junk on Oompa's fantastic site. You will find many European and American made, organic, eco-friendly, wooden, and safe toys that all ages will love. Oompa also carries a variety of furniture, decor, gear, and care items. You might have seen Oompa in magazines like Cookie, American Baby, Parents, Kiwi, Parenting and more!

Oompa sent us 2 amazing toys to review from 2 companies that I love. You just saw a review of PlanToys last week, we'll I'm back with another review of another fabulous product they have created, The Breakfast Menu. This non-toxic rubberwood food set comes complete with a serving tray, salt & pepper shakers, 2 slices of bread, cheese, sourdough roll, hard boiled egg that is 2 pieces, egg holder, sausage, bacon and a fried egg. Since there are some small parts, it's recommended for ages 3+. I have enjoyed sitting on the couch while Ella "cooks breakfast" for me and brings it to me on a tray! I can't wait until she's old enough to make me a real breakfast in bed! She has loved making sandwiches with the different foods and even adding her other fruit and veggies to her menu.I love kitchen play accessories that prepare younger children for cooking and making food decisions. Both sets would go great with the Cooking Utensils. Your child could fry the egg, sausage and bacon and even boil the eggs. You can get the PlanToys Breakfast Menu for $24.99, the Assorted Fruits and Vegetables for $24.99, and the Cooking Utensils Set for $19.99 at Oompa.

The next toy Oompa sent us was the Keptin Jr. Rag doll. This doll is great for all ages and is very cuddly. The Keptin Jr. rag doll is made with 100% organic cotton, which feels like a terry cloth, and is filled with natural wool. The doll is handmade in Lithuania, but designed in the Netherlands. The doll is wearing a cute hat that almost looks like an elf hat in the back. It separates into two pieces and is tied with knots. Ella has loved her new "green baby" and has welcomed her into her nighttime loveys. Which is a big thing because she only has 2 loveys and normally throws the rest on the floor. There are several Keptin Jr. rag dolls to choose from and you can get them at Oompa for $35.99.

Paloma Pottery Giveaway

This giveaway has ended. Thanks to all that entered!
This next gift can be given to teenage girls, friends, moms, aunts and even grandmothers. It's hard to find great gifts for everyone, so I thought I'd make it as easy as possible! You know my pottery obsession, so I looked around for some more Eco-friendly pottery and loved what I found! I was drawn to Paloma Pottery when I saw this candle holder:The cracked recycled glass blew my mind and I had to contact them to share this amazing company with you. Paloma Pottery is recycled glass infused pottery which is handmade by the very talented Nicole Whitney. Nicole creates the pottery herself, then allows the clay to air dry before going into the kiln for bisque firing. Once fired, the pottery is then ready to be glazed and the broken recycled glass particles are added. The kiln melts the glass and fuses it to the clay and glaze to make the astounding finished product. The recycled glass is collected from glass jars, wine bottles, beer bottles, and other glass found on the side of the road, trails, or any other place people leave trash. The glass is then busted into small particles to be infused to these works of art. You can see how it is done by clicking here.

You can find bookmarks, bottle stoppers, candle holders, clocks, dinnerware, door knobs, jewelry, key chains, magnets, mirrors, ornaments, soap dishes, tiles, tables and so much more at Paloma Pottery!

Paloma Pottery sent me a Tea Light Candleholder, which I've been using as a spoon rest. The coaster is only 2.5", but it can also be used for a tea bag holder, child's cup coaster, or just a decorative piece to go on a small table. It matched my kitchen, so that's why I choose to use it as a spoon rest. It's easy to wipe off and I love looking at it while I cook. :)

I was also sent an Adjustable Recycled Fused Round Tropical Water Necklace that is gorgeous!I love the size of the circle, which really stands out. It is 1.5 in in diameter and can be worn with any type of outfit. The adjustable waxed cotton cord allows the necklace to hang up to 32" or be worn as a choker. I love jewelry that can go with your mood and outfit! The necklace comes in 7 different colors and a variety of shaped pendants. The cracked glass makes this so unique and sparkly. It is very light weight. This is truly a gift for all ages.

Right now you can get the Recycled Glass Necklace for 50% off! It is originally $32.50 but is on sale for only $16.25. Paloma Pottery also has quite a few amazing sales going on, so start shopping early to catch the deals!
