Little Green Books Giveaway

This giveaway has ended. Thanks to all that entered!!
Yes, I'm skipping the pet gifts this week, only because it's America Recycles Day. But I'm sure your pets would love to hear you reading these great Eco-friendly books to your children. ;) Little Green Books, from Simon and Schuster, has come out with 2 amazing new titles "Santa Claus Is Green" and "Don't Throw That Away" that I'm excited to tell you about!"Don't Throw That Away" is a 100% recycled material board lift-flap book about recycling and reusing. Your child follows a eco-conscious super hero as she teaches kids how to recycle and reuse common objects as they lift the flaps to get new ideas. Your child will learn what they can do with glass jars, old clothes, milk jugs, cans and boxes. "Don't Throw That Away" is recommended for children ages 4-6. Though, Ella has loved it and is coming up with her own ideas on how to reuse objects. You can get it at Simon & Schuster for only $6.99!"Santa Claus Is Green" is wonderful new book to add to your holiday collection. It's about a little boy who is upset when he realizes how unfriendly Christmas is for the Earth. He writes Santa a letter telling him that he should make it more Eco-friendly. Santa then decides to give a gift to the Earth and create a green Christmas. He finds ways to reduce, reuse and recycle while preparing for Christmas. I love how he wrapped presents in colorful newspaper pages, old maps, and shopping bags. The book ends with 12 ideas for a green Christmas which are simple steps for every child! The book also comes with 20 fun holiday recycled stickers. Of course the book is made from 100% postconsumer waste recycled paper and printed with 100% vegetable based ink. You can purchase "Santa Claus Is Green" from Simon and Schuster for only $5.99!

  10. Green tip: "Wear a sweater. Ask a parent to turn down the heat a few degrees. Put on a sweater to stay warm."

I do this. When I get up to crank the heat, I try to catch myself and grab a blanket or sweater instead.
