Carry Your Baby With Style- Kokopax Classic Carrier Giveaway

Contest Ended. Winner will be posted soon. Thanks to all that entered!
In 2007 Sarah Spoor, a mother of 4, decided to update the old Gerry style backpack carriers for babies. She loved the concept of the old backpack carriers, but found them outdated. While traveling in the Northwest, she came across some beautiful fabric patterns and then created the Kokopax Classic Carrier; a lightweight carrier with added modern flair.
The Kokopax Classic Carrier is great for when traveling, cooking, keeping up with other children, walking around the zoo, beach, airport, park and more. They will even hold a child up to 35 pounds! Most carriers I've seen only hold 25 pounds and my daughter was a big baby, so we had to give up our carriers at a year when she still needed to be held. Talk about back problems!

The Kokopax Classic Carrier is made with 100% cotton canvas with an anodized aluminum frame. The carrier provides an ideal fit for mom and dad with its comfortable shoulder straps and adjustable frame. Other features include a padded waist support, a storage pocket, kickstand for easy unloading, a bag to carry the carrier when traveling and a 5 pt. safety harness. It only weighs 2.7 lbs so you won't even feel the added weight. The carrier will also fit in a airline overhead bin when flying, so you can carry your child while carrying your bags. The carrier is made for childre 6 months- 2 years. They are available in 6 custom fabric designs:

The Discount:
Order a Kokopax Classic Carrier or other Kokopax product and get 10% off! Enter the code mk2009 at the checkout. The carrier would be an awesome babyshower gift! They have other amazing products as well.

The Giveaway:

Kokopax is offering one of my LUCKY readers their very own Kokopax Classic Carrier with their choice of fabric.

  24. When I visited the site I learned their great story:
Kokopax, llc was founded in 2007 in Henderson, Nevada by Sarah Spoor. While taking care of her four young children, Sarah was introduced to the vintage lightweight carriers her parents had used to carry her. Sarah and her husband immediately recognized the amazing benefits of being able to carry their infants so easily and still take care of their other kids, cook, attend school activities and travel freely. The baby backpack carrier became a necessity for everyday life. Her challenge with the original carriers was that they weren’t very attractive.

On a trip to the Northwest, Sarah came across some beautiful fabric patterns that inspired her to think of ways she could combine modern fabrics with the simple functionality of the older carriers. With that idea in mind, she embarked on a mission to develop a stylish, modern and lightweight framed infant carrier that could be used every day, everywhere. And she did . . .

  67. I learned about how the name of the company came about:

    kokopax
At the kitchen table, long after our babies were asleep, my husband and I thought about a company name. It came easily, from two of my favorite childhood books, Pattycake and Koko’s Kitten. I used to love monkeys and gorillas because they were the next best thing to a real baby. They also carry their babies on their backs. The “pax” play seemed logical because it sounds like “packs,” but means “peace” in Latin. We are all for peace when it comes to carrying babies. Kokopax. Established September, 2007.

  164. It's amazing and inspiring that Sarah had enough time to do this and still run after 4 beautiful kiddos! (Did you see those blue eyes and red hair?! CUTE!)Very innovative, and very stylish.

I love that the sunhats can match the carrier. I just found out that I'd pregnant with #3 (surprise!), and things are a bit worn out around here. New gear would be a wonderful blessing!
