Go Green Items is a fantastic Eco-friendly company with a variety of "green" items. They carry recycled bags, jewelry, organic clothing and personal care, Eco-friendly pet and baby items and some amazing "green" gadgets. Jennifer Meier started the company because she wanted to make it easier for customers to understand why green items are better for the environment and your families. We all know how confusing it is becoming "green!" Along with the wide variety of products found at Go Green Items, you can find out how their products qualify being green. Not only are Go Green Items great for the environment, so is their company as a whole. They even work out of their homes to reduce travel and additional electricity. You can read more about what Go Green Items is doing for the environment by clicking here.
Of course what led me to Go Green Items was their fabulous recycled bags! You can find recycled juice boxes, VHS tapes, inner tubes, billboards, newspapers and even phone books made into stylish bags for all occasions. Majority of the bags are handmade by a woman's cooperative and are fair trade. The cooperative's objective is to recycle non-biodegradable items and reuse them for profitable, attractive products. The cooperative currently provides a livelihood to 200 families, helping to generate much-needed income for basic living expenses and education. So buying a bag could provide a family with a meal, plus you are helping to keep the earth clean and green!
I received a Recycled Juice Box Large Round Tote that is awesome! The woven juice box pattern is unreal. You can't tell where a juice box ends or begins and there are no holes or spaces. It's woven like what you'd expect from a basket. Even the handles are woven juice boxes that make a perfect arch. The Recycled Tote has a juice box button loop closure that blends in with the bag. I was shocked once I opened the tote and saw how large the inside was. The tote would be great for the beach, pool, market, shopping, diaper bag, large purse, and even to pack a picnic lunch in. It is waterproof, so you can really use it for anything. I can see using mine to carry food in when traveling over the holidays. And if something spills, it is easy to wipe off.
I got the Red multicolored tote and it really stands out in a crowd. (Note that no 2 bags will be the same.) I call it my fiesta bag. :) I've gotten so many compliments on it while shopping. We go to Target every week, so instead of getting plastic bags, I use the tote. They aren't just for grocery shopping! This is stylish enough to wear as a purse and then store your new goods.

ReplyDeleteThe recycled phonebook purse is a real stunning accessory. It would go with anything but I was thinking what a conversation starter it would be except one would have to reveal what it was made from because noone would ever guess just looking at it although comments on it would be the necessary opening to reveal its origin. Wouldn't that be fun.
